    New member introduction.

    Hi all.

New member in Essex here just wanted to say hello. Just joined the club but no Stag yet hence the forum name!

Actively looking for a Stag. I think I will have to find a properly sorted car as have no garage/workshop for tinkering in. No doubt will have some questions to ask you all in the near future.

All the best to you all.

    Staghunter.

    Hi Jonathan

Welcome to the Forum following our email exchanges

This is a great forum with very helpful individuals and a sense of humour.

Enjoy looking for a Stag and look forward to meeting you are one of our meetings

Always best to buy a Stag from within the club. Out of interest some Stags are advertised on the SOC website, not sure if you have had a look, but its a starting point

I case members hear of something going, may I suggest you hint as to what you would like, auto, manual, yellow or just another colour

        Hi Staghunter,

Welcome! As you can probably tell from my user name, I didn't have a Stag when I joined the forum either. However, after posting about various basket cases I had looked at a forum member took pity and PM'd me asking if I wanted to buy his! He didn't even advertise it anywhere, and I still own it 3 1/2 years later, so I would definately go along with Andrew's advice.

Many thanks for the welcome chaps.

Yes seen the cars on the SOC website. Also seen some nice looking ? cars on specialist dealer sites but they are pricey. Good advice to try and get one from a member of the club I think.

As for specifics would prefer a manual or zf conversion. My favourite colour is mimosa yellow, my wife likes russet brown and Brooklands green but maybe the right cars is more important than the colour (hope its not sacrilege to say so)!!

Anyway thanks again guys and hope to see some of you at the local meet soon.

          Jonathan.

              Hi Jonathan

Welcome to the asylum - my brother used to live just up the road from you in Barling Magna

Good luck in your search, there is a lot of good advice available on here, so maybe you should get along to the Essex meet (I'm from Surrey but I have been so can vouch for them being a good bunch - especially Andrew S) and I'm sure you'll find a willing volunteer to go with you when you find one, just to make sure it's a good'un

And don't disregard Java Green, it certainly gets you noticed

              Best of luck

              Russ

Hope I don't have to spend too long on a stag hunt.
