    20W-50 Oil with API spec

Not so long ago I used to be able to buy 20W-50 oil to API SE spec at various local outlets (eg Wilkinsons) for a budget price, around £6 to £8 for 5 litres.

Now the budget 20W-50 oils they all sellhave dropped the API rating, so we could be getting 'Crisp-n-dry' for all we know. I wish I had bought up plenty ofstock then while it was still available. I bet it all gets exported to India now.

It seems that we now have to pay around£15 for 5 litres of Morris or Comma which still carries the API rating, unless any of you guys know different?

What's the status on GTX now, is 20W-50 still available?

http://www.opieoils.co.uklists some 20W/50 oils to API spec. but they are not cheap either. I guess it's a case of demand and supply... :?

Halfords 20/50 has API SE on the front of the can. £15 but easy to get hold of.
