it will take a bit longer to warm up on a cold morning. Mine is disconnected anyway as it had failed and was sucking air.
You should make sure that the vacuum pipe to itis blanked off though otherwise you will be sucking air and upsetting your mixture.
I'm holding off from buying a manual until next weekend (TSSC HQ Open weekend & I live nearby) I'll check out vacuum pipe once I know where it should be!
there should be a pipe coming off the front of thecarb pedestal going to the sensor in the base of the air filter box. If its missing just get a bit of pipe the right diameter and then blank it off with a small bolt in the end, thats all I have done.
My thermic sensor was sucking air, so following advice from Forum members I blanked it off. The only difference I have noticed is that the engine takes a little longer to warm up each morning.
