Soft top supplier - any comments please?

    Hi all,

Looking at South East Trimmings advert for a fitted mohair top, it seems a very reasonable price. Can anyone with any experience of using them for this service please PM me with their opinion?

    Thanks in advance

Mine came from Paddocks who I believe source them from Aldridges. Chris Spain (Stagweber) fitted it so I can comment on how well it fitted but its now three years old and looking good as new.
I love deadlines - I like the whooshing sound they make as they pass by!

Can vouch completely for SE Trimming, hoods made on site from scratch on a Stag shell and the mutts nuts! Price incredible for quality given.

Mine got a new hood & frame from SE Trimming in 2005 and it's still looking good and working well.

Brilliant chap and the quality/fit of the hood I had fitted in October was, and still is fantastic. Was also a good excuse for a 280 mile round trip blast down to Kent!

Assuming quality at least as good as others (and I think it is), he was also significantly cheaper even after factoring in cost of 10-12 gallons of fuel and half a day off work.

Yup, I did the same, drove down on a cold Saturday morning, dropped the car at Jims house and walked into town for a fullEnglish brekky. Walked back car done. Took about 3 hours to fit if I remember correctly.

I really need to give the hood a clean and apply some hood protector this year

Likewise, fast approaching 20 years ago, he is well experienced for sure.
The complete refurbished frame and new hood dropped straight in and fitted perfectly.

Hi Mark, which advert for South East Triming are you referring to? I'm also on the lookout for a new hood as the 42 year old hood and frame is driving me mad.

He puts an advert in the Stag Owners Club magazine most months - near the back
My hood was made by Jim and couriered to me - me and my brother took old one off and put new one on in a morning then couriered old hood back (as exchange)
looks fantastic and works fantastic - just two years old now
Nice chap to deal with - I had no probs and no issues contacting by phone or email
