windscreen wiper drive failed Replacement?

The little bent piece of metal that sits in a nylon slider has snapped.
So.I'm going to order a new one
Just a couple of points exactly which way round does the nylon slider sit?
Also is it a simple job dead easy on a Tr7 but never done a Satg

I have my motor in bits at the moment, if you can wait a bit, I will post a photo later tonight. I am pretty sure that the sloping part of the slider slopes down towards the 130 degree gearwheel and away from 'neck' of the gearbox housing, ie where the rack enters.

Right... I have edited my post above about 3 times and hopefully it is now clear!

Here are a couple of photos that should help.

The 2nd photo shows the slider just lifted up, the arrow shows that it just needs to be dropped straight back in.
