Hi all, was wondering if anybody could give me a clue as to why, all of a sudden I have no dashboard lights and the light on the drive selection is also not on(auto). Front and rear lights work ok. Indicators work and oil light is ok. Looked at the fuse cover but couldnt see one that covers these lights. Any suggestions please. I went to pull out the ciggy lighter but puledl the heated rear window switch. Any connection? Thanks Mark

What happens if you rotate the dimmer? Mine is very intermittent and results in no dashboard lights at several settings between dimmest and brightest.Originally posted by markmark2 View Post

I think its because it is similar to the volume control on an old radio with a wiper sliding over a wound resistance. The crashing sound on the old volume controls could equate to the dash lights going on off. Coincedentally I have just found at the back of my garage* a can of Philips Service Spray. I remember using this to cure volume control problems on TV's and Radios I will give this a try on the dash lamp dimmer and see what happens!Originally posted by markmark2 View Post
