MOT Pass, but almost never got there.

Passed the MOT test today with no problems, but thought I would have to cancel as the car would not start yesterday afternoon.

I thought at first I had a flat battery so charged it for a couple of hours - still nothing. I turned out to be the immobliser had gone t*ts up, it has recently been playing up a bit by not functioning correctly. It was letting ne start the car without having to use the wee activation fob.

I have now removed the immobliser completly, it was a bit of a pig of a job as parts of the original loom had been cut and replaced by immobliser wiring and taped up again. Must say whoever fitted it did a real tidy job.

I detest that activation fob on mine, I'd love to get rid of it but it's a must for the club scheme - at least it was when I first had the car insured with the scheme....
Guess it's a useful tool to deter the "nickers"
