I thought a sense of humour was obligatory when owning an old Car ?. Nearly got a sense of humour failure on Saturday. Had left home at 6:00 am and it was about 30 years since I was in Birmingham, the last time I sat on the motorway for over an hour due to an accident. This Saturday ( 13/12/08 am ) when going to look at the Stag I sat in a jam for 1 ½ hours on the M5 Junction 3 to 2 due to an accident, de-ja-vue or what. Do brummies have a death wish as there was very limited forward vision due to the weather and signs advising slow down due to spray and road works but they still drove at warp factor six resulting of a coming together.

At least this one is still around. YDO 928L hasn't been taxed since Sept 2002 .

                Don,

sheer weight of traffic gets on my nerves and is very irritating indeed, but I never complain about accidents - better to be in the jam than in splatted vehicle.

                    Andrew,

I can only assume it is now dead . Hopefully many more have benefitted from its demise. Strangely DVLA has it as first registered Sept 1990 :?:?. Possible it came in from elsewhere such as the Channel Islands. 'DO' was a Lincolnshire registration. YDO939L however was registered on 13/11/72.

The vehicle details for YDO 928L are:

David, could it be that it was given a private registration number?

Could be, but a car I sold a few years ago was changed to a private plate by the new ownerand the original number 'disappeared' from the DVLA computer. It has now returned as he has sold the car and it has been reunited with its original number.
