Best way to keep my ignition plug wires clean and shiny??.

Asking for advice on how to maintain the brand new look on my spark plug ignition wires, to match all the other shiny engine bits.
Any suggestions, paste wax, silicone spray come to mind but someone out there knows of a better solution I hope.

Stag is ready to come out of her winter hibernation, as temps over here are now in the mid teens PLUS, rather than below.

Thanks, yesterday I went looking for any alternatives to just straight WD40, and was surprised to see a product that I had not seen before, a WD40 "Specialist" Water resistant Silicone Spray, that is multi-surface and also quick drying. Will give this a try and see how it turns out. I have cleaned the wires using GoJo mechanics hand cleaner, and they have cleaned up well, will see if this WD40 product gives it a silicone shine.

Robin, do bear in mind that if you need to re paintthe engine bay (after a hydraulic fluid leak for example) silicone residue will make this impossible. It's a pig to remove.

I use Meguiars tyre shine on mine, use it on the tyres too. Good stuff.
