I've just acquired a Stag and am just starting to go over it to sort out the most pressing niggles.
The first is that the petrol filler cap needs attention. When the cap locks, a small pin on the bottom of the locking barrel is supposed to prevent the 'catch' from unhooking from a piece of wire in the main filler body. The pin is rotated out of the way by the key rotating the locking barrel.
On mine, that pin has worn to the extent that, with a bit of pressure, the filler cap can be unlatched without the use of the key. In fact it takes a bit of effort to get the filler cap to latch in the first place.
Can anyone recommend either a repair or a source for a replacement part? The key for the barrel is the same as for the ignition so it is the original.
