Hello to everyone,just joined the fraternity and hope to soon find a " staaag" to love and polish !.I haven't had a triumph for 3 years now and must say it's boring without one.Ive had a few sprints,2,500s and pi's but never a proper sports car ( creep creep ).Now,I don't know if this is the right place to write this but I am on the lookout for a nice stag that I can cherish and the wife can clean and take out on sunny days.If anyone has or knows of such a car in or around Staffordshire I don't mind driving to have a look and chat,I don't bite and am quite friendly.Car specifics :, wife can only drive automatics and loves blue but me,anything goes.Hope to meet some of you at shows, maybe see you soon.

HI Mark , Welcome if you get yourself and your wife along to the local meeting the area co-ordinator will know if there are any cars for sale in that area, there are also cars for sale in the for sale section of the mag or on the web site, but be wary of some cars on e-bay lots of scams.

P.s yellow is the best colour

Hi,yes,agree on the yellow front,my favourite sprint was a mimosa 74reg,polished up gorgeous ��.ive noticed a few stags on eBay that looked dodgy !!,but it does seem the best place to find one,just need someone who can verify them.Theres a gorgeous mimosa one on at the moment, does anyone on here know of the car ?.

On the eBay question, how can you check if their selling a genuine stag ?, beautiful mimosa one on at the moment but don't know if it's for real?.Does anyone on here recognise it?

the scam is normally a dirt cheap very tiday car, with a call or email only in the description. When you do they will probably or the car may be overseas and they will want a "refundable" £200 deposit to hold the car

Slightly more worrying was a story from another forum, though not for a stag, when a buyer turned up with cash to be mugged for the cash, his phone and car

Fairly easy to spot the scams though
