Wiper motor problem - 73 Fed

Try as I might I cannot get the high speed to operate. I have a new switch, and when the wand is in the second/high speed position I have no voltage at the U/LG post, although at the adjacent LG post there IS power. The circuit checks out. The low speed is fine, and I also have intermittent.
What am I missing here? I can't believe the new switch is bad.

    Thanks for your help.

Have you checked that the wire colours match up both sides of the loom plug under the steering wheel.

        HI

I had this problem and it turned out to be the lead in the wiper motor going to the fast speed brush had become detached.

Thanks all. Those are amazing schematics, Dasdrew!

I'm pretty sure all my connections are correct....checked and rechecked. I get no voltage at the motor plug.

What puzzles me is at the switch itself. It is dangling from the steering column so all wires are exposed. When the stalk is at position II, there is no voltage at the socket where ULG and LG leads meet. LG is hot, but ULG is not. With the stalk at the low speed position both leads ARE hot,so why shouldn't this be the case at hi speed as well?
This is a new switch so corrosion should not be an issue, but I checked that also by disassembling the switch.

Those schematics reveal nothing peculiar about the hi speed circuit.
