    is T-Bar re-trim EASY?

Hello, can anyone advise on re-trimming the t bar? Can a good job be made easily - the foam and cover look like they just fit like a glove, but there are bolt holes to make and does the b post trim need removing?

    Cheers

what i did was glue the foam to the T-Bar,had to retrim the foam to make it fit nice, then stretch the cover over the T-Bar hardest part was getting creases out from front to back

It is not difficult. I used the old upholstery to locate the holes for the sunvisors. Most difficult was to put the t bar back on the car. One bolt on the b post wont catch. Only with brute force. But I managed it. You dont need to remove the trim on the b post. I uploaden a few pictures for reference.

Did mine a couple of years ago. Agree with Dave above #2 but to make it easier to put the new cover on, wrap the foam in cling film and the cover slips on magically. Worst bit was glueing the new cover around the front "throat" and getting it to fit properly. Took 2 of us to refit the bolts to the B post!!

          Thanks,
just what I need to know, and great use of a ratchet strap. What was the other end connected to?

It was connected to the headertank bracket (See foto). Good luck. You can do it.

Getting the bar on and off I have confidence in. Making a neat job of the trim/ getting holes cut right is my worry. There also looks to be some shaping to be done with the foam around the b post bolt holes judging by your photos. I’ve got the foam from EJ Wards and there’s no ‘moulding’ in it for that. It’s also in one piece like the vinyl but with Velcro instead of a zip...

I used the same foam you do have to trim it so it fits nicely
