Respray Not the Stag but advice please?

Now I run a TR7 V8 convertible which I have to admit is a sheer delight but its Poseidon Green paintwork is lifting here and there, I think the Dealer I bought it off 4 years ago did a "blow-over" on it and its not the best now.
Inside the doors, bootand engine bay are fine I would like it respraying but have been quoted £6000.??.Now that cant be right can it? I realise the paint might be £600 but...it just seems a lot.
Have any of you any recommendations I'm up in Manchester but would have no problem delivering the car It would be delivered as is complete.
Any advice much appreciated

It depends on what your having done,if its just a rub down and respray the outside only,that sounds dear,but if its bear metal respray theres a lot more work involved

That does sound a bit on the expensive side, but if bodywork needs welding and repairing it can add thousands onto the bill.
I know this through personal experiance. My stag started with a quote of £4000 for respray with new pannels fitting as well, but as it was stripped down a minefield suddenly opened up. Just as well my bodyshop allowed me to do most of the donky work, i think he felt sorry for me. Just as a guide, he recently did a full repaint on a transit high top camper, with new wings, a little bit of welding and it cost the owner arond £4500 including vat. Hope this helps

Car is absolutely rust free like new, it needs a couple of 5p size dents seeing to and a new coat of paint.

Definatly a sub £4000 job then.
