Steering rack recommendations

Anyone tried a rack from these guys? I just want to get mine done Asap so although I've bought everything to refirb mine I would rather get this if they are any good?

Fitted 3 racks in 9 years of ownership, last one was fitted about 3 years ago from L D Parts and it's still going strong. Don't know your EBay seller though, sorry.

Hi Steve
Last year I felt a vibration through the steering wheel which turned out to be caused by play in the steering rack.
I bought a re-conned rack from this Ebay supplier and am happy with product and transaction. It beat the prospect of messing around with buying spares and doing the job myself. Go for it.

Hi Steve,

I've seen these guys crop up on this forum before, and a couple of others I'm on. Only ever heard good reports. If mine needs doing, I would go to these guys next time.

I used them a couple of years ago, I had to send my old rack first which was refurbished and returned in about 3 days.

I used T D Fitchett last year. Excellent service. They had an exchange unit immediately available, with carriage charges better than most. The deposit was returned promptly. I have been told since that they do their own reconditioning.

Nice idea Kev, what's the donor car. Something Jap would be good as I haven't got much Jap in my stag/ford/bmw/Tilton/wilwood/Chevy/hybrid yet

I did think about the corsa, but probably a vectra, but need to look into it more, will nick the air conditioning kit off whatever I choose too,

Might possibly go for a kit, these guys have quite a lot of info and some nice features on their kits http://simonebirchall.co.uk/
