On Drive-it-Day, West Sussex Stags plus some South London Stags went down to Ian Spencer's place in Ticehurst where we met up with Weald Historic Vehicle Club and Jaguar Owners Club for coffee and bacon rolls before going off to get our lunch. I think all enjoyed the collected display of interesting vehicles and Ian and Ann's hospitality.
Ann is involved with the Meath Epilepsy Trust and to celebrate the Trust's 125th anniversary they are holding a vintage day on 22nd July in Westbrooke Park, Godalming Surrey.
Ann and Ian have invited Weald club to mount a 50-vehicle display (Declaring my interest - I am a member of Weald CVC). The intention is to have a variety of interesting vehicles spanning 1920-1999, so a lot of ground to cover. We already have two Stags so we need at least one more, and as many other vehicles which might fit the brief. It would be really good to be able to repay Ian and Ann's hospitality by giving them a good display of cars at the show. If anyone can help with a Stag or any other interesting vehicle we would be pleased to hear from them.
It promises to be a very enjoyable day so if you can't promise to bring your motor, it will still be worth the modest entrance fee at the gate (exhibitors go free). The attached flier gives details of the event and contact numbers to register your vehicle, or you can PM me.
