Why is the drivers side wiper such a complex item?
never paid much attention - but I assume it changes the angle of the blade part so that it can wipe the max part of the screen - if it did not would it be at the wrong angle at the top of its travel?
Mine broke returning from France last month. Taped it up at the next Aire what ever I did I couldn't get it to clean the glass at eye level. Luckily the rain had stopped.
So I assume you are right regarding angles
Got a new one from SOC spares not fitted it yet though
Giles is right. It is a pantograph mechanism so that it is parallel to the screen edge at the A-post. If you fit a passenger side arm to the driver's side, you will see why it is like that.
