Somewhere on here it was mentioned that there is a better quality seal at the end of the BW35 gear box. I think it had a double rim. Does anyone know where I could track this down. Have tried the search.
Does any one happen to know the size of the seal that is required? I'm also thinking of fitting a stainless sleeve, has any one done this. or maybe its not necessary with new seal.
To be honest Mike these seals have been installed on the Cranshaft on stags afaik no bw35 propshaft has had one. If your propshaft is that worn I would be buying a new propshaft or having the gearbox end of the propshaft renewed. I found in the past just renewing the gearbox output shaft seal to be enough to stop the bw35 from leaking.
