Brackets for under bumper fog lights

I have two rather nice 1970s rectangular Lucas Lamps and covers to fit onto the Stag.

I can find some brackets on JR Wadhams for a P6 Rover fitment to bumper bracket, but they look a bit short - does anyone know where to get a bracket for a Stag to mount some lamps under the bumper inboard of the overrider location?

The lamps are about 8 inches by 4 inches in old money.

    Thoughts?
    Pictures?
    Help?

    Thanks
    Ian

    Hi Ian

I have a similar pair of driving/fog lights and I used a couple of A Series engine lifting brackets (there are usually some on eBay), cleaned them up and painted them with some Hammerite and attached them to the front bumper mounting bolts as per the attached photos (sorry the close up of the bracket is showing on it's side).

Actually, my lights aren't connected as I simply want them to finish off the front of the car.

    Hope that this help.

    Best regards

I have a couple of twisted "L" shaped brackets hidden by the front bumper attached to the bumper brackets behind the overiders, so they support my front "round" spotlights which are just on the inside of the two overiders. See pic below.
I like my lamps, but also think the rectangular ones below the bumper are smart too. The spotlamps came off a previous car of mine.

The W123 Merc I used to own before I Emigrated also had a couple of nice "oval" spotlights on it just above the bumper, also shown in the 2nd pic below taken at a time when I used the car as a Wedding car for a colleague at work.

I made some brackets out of angle iron, fastened under the bumper brackets.
The Mini lifting strap is a good idea though, a lot easier than my solution!

In NZ if any fitted auxiliary lamps aren't working at the time of a Warrant of Fitness,( your MOT), they are removed or it's a fail.
              Cheers Ian A

                Hi Paul.

Just wanted to thank you for this happy suggestion. An absolutely inspired idea. I ordered my brackets a few days ago at very modest cost and they are perfect. The paint is just drying and then I will fit them.

Thank you very much. (This forum is the business, chaps!)
