    Anybody used quiller triumph for an engine?

    I need an engine rebuild and am researching the suppliers. I know about the usual suspects, ej ward, enginuity, Faversham etc but have not seen any comments anywhere about quiller. Their spec and prices on their website look quite good.
    PM me if you have feedback that you don't want on the forum.

        Isn't all this answered here somewhere?

        Magic bullets/cutting corners/good luck*?

        1/ Parts used are all going to be the same now, King/County pistons, King/County engine bearings, county gaskets, chains...etc
        1a/ A pair of recon heads is about 1k.
        2/ How much does machining cost?
        3/ How much do people charge for their time?

        Nobody in their right mind is going to charge less than 1K for item 3.
        By process of elimination that leaves about 3k5-5k minus item 3 & 1a

        NB 1/
        Nobody I am aware of goes to the trouble of balancing the crank as standard, fitting Vandervell bearings/NOS oil pumps/gaskets & IWIS chains, and the quality of stuff like new timing sprockets,- nuff said.

        The only magic bullet* I know of is Eastern Europe for item 2, but you have to GO THERE, good luck!

        Frankly, doing any Stag V8 has become a specialised operation nowadays on a par with any Daimler Dart 250, Citroen SM V6, Lotus Ford twin cam.
