Inlet manifold core plug

Hi can any one tell me the size of the core plug (cms)on the bottom of the inlet manifold . Is it the same as the rest of the core plugs. Mine seems to have sprung a leak after I had just fitted new hoses and filled the system . Then water appeared as if by magic in the V .I thought it was the new pipes but alas no . The car has been sitting a while .I've ordered an endoscope to try and make sure I'm right before pulling it out . The manifold is well tight just with the the gasket seal any tips of how to get it off if I have too . IE levers hammers dynamite.

The core plug will be Imperial size not metric. Probably 1¹⁄₈" but someone will know for sure.

Hello Michael,

I went through the motions of looking at that core plug as a suspect last week with my "V" water feature. The Rimmers catalogue quotes the core plug as 1" diameter (2.54cm). My leak turned out to be a hose failure.

I am going to wait and see what i can see with the camera first as i have a very good seal,maifold to heads, at least i think i do .
Plenty of other bits to do while i wait for the endoscope to arrive .
