It's an earpiece from an old telephone handset, used as an indicator sounder as Mike says.Comment

If it was an earpiece from an old phone it was probably a type 332,which had a removable diaphragm, superceded by the 706. I seem to recall that later earpieces (receivers) were a granule filled unit.Originally posted by KOY 23 View PostComment
