      Agree, water expands and compresses the air (water cannot be compressed) so no loss of coolant just more when hot.
      I only do what the voices in my wife’s head tell me to do!

        Mark, sorry only just read your reply, I'll be posting an update in the next day or so as I've now rebuilt the pump and put it back in. Watch my thread on the progress.
        I love deadlines - I like the whooshing sound they make as they pass by!

            IMO putting K seal in a system which has an undiagnosed water leak is not the way to go. In my case for example the leak was being caused by a damaged water seal below the impeller, so in this case the correct course of action is to overhaul the water pump. I think a better way of deciding whether to use K seal is to use a fluorescent dye in the water to trace the leak, then once its understood a decision can be made on how to cure the leak.
