Hi All, What is the preferred adhesive for gluing on the Rubber Bonnet Seal? All the ones I have looked at are unsuitable for use with cellulose paint.
Thank you
Ray Smith
Speak to your local body shop and find out what double-sided sticky tape they use. Sadly the OE seals aren't available any more; they clipped in place.

Try Upol Tiger seal polyurethane adhesive and sealant. (cartridge tube) I used it on my E- type hard top the night before I came away on holiday, I stuck the chrome rear screen surround to the new screen rubber which i also fitted with it. it sticks like s#it to a blanket.. It took 4 days into my holiday to get the last of the remnants off of my fingers!!!!
Work Excess can be cleaned off with white spirits immediately. it also comes in white or black. I will be using it on my Stag seals when the time comes...
UPDATE,
Hi All, thanks for your replies, did look at evostik but label said not compatible with cellulose. Only had ends to do that were coming detached. Used super glue seems to be holding o k.

I couldn't get on with the Tiger Seal so I found some trim clips that fit the holes and cut a cross in the base of the seal to slip the clips in and attached it with them.

I'm fortunate in that the one on my car is original and in good condition, fixed by the correct clips. But on my previous Stag I had to buy an aftermarket one and fixed it with double-sided sticky tape. I stayed put for many years and was still there when I sold the car.
