    Rear inertia seat belts.

I would like to tidy up the cut outs in the rear cubby panel where the seat belts slot through.
At the moment the belts rub on the cubby panel material and, I think, restrict their free movement. Is there a plastic moulding from another vehicle that fits the cut out in the cubby panel that would allow seat belt free movement and tidy up the area?

Just gone through this very problem except my belts are not fully fittted yet. I went to the scrappers and searched through dozens of cars. I

eventually got two plastic sleeves which are designed for that very purpose. They're slotted too, as in, they have a split to slide the belt in.

Narrow enough not to allow the belt buckle to slide back through as well. Haven't fitted them yet, but they look perfect. I'm pretty certain ( not

100%) they were from the REAR of a Peugeot 406 mounted above the seats. Just clipped out.

Might have been an estate, not sure. I'm certain there'd be some pictures on google or ebay maybe. Paid £2.00 for them.

    Hope this helps.

      I got these from alloycarparts.co.uk:
MGF & TF Solid Alloy Seat belt retracting guides. Brushed and Polished finish available.
      Item Number 0060 Finish: Polished
      I'll post a picture when I can

Even after putting these in the belts still did not retract properly but this was transformed by squirting some silicone polish on the entrance to the reels themselves (tip in a video posted by wheeler dealers)

Seem to remember someone using the rear seat belt guides from an Audi A4, but that's a few years ago, and my memory is not what it was.......

Apparently the escutcheons for the Merc SL (107 type) would look good, but are filed under 'hen's teeth'. Also for the Porsche 928 (they call the part a 'rose', because Porsche) or the 911, but where these have come up on fleabay they've been asking daft money (for a piece of plastic, IMO). I've just wiped some silicone spray around my apertures for now (!) until I find something.

Thanks for your replies. Have given me a couple of ideas, if I come up with an easy solution I will update the post.

I was just about to say MG TF seat belt escutcheon plates. I bought a pair years ago, but still haven't got around to fitting the belts so I haven't used them yet!
