    Windscreen smears

    Hi all, Can anyone advise on a suitable product to remove wiper blade smears from my windscreen. Replies please to dudley-elect@blueyonder.co.uk

    Hi Mike,

    Welcome to the forum.

    If the wipers are smearing, the old trick is to use vinegar to clean the blades.

      Hi Mike,

      Welcome as well.

      Cleaning the blades with Baby Wipes or equivalent have worked for me, also makes them smell nice.

          Thanks for the replies but it's not the wiper bladesi'm having a problem with, it's getting the marks off the glass.

              RainX - I've just started using it on both my Stag and Spitfire using their windscreen cleaner first (spray foam) to clean the screen, then applying the RainX formula afterwards - no smearing at all with the added benefit of not needing to use the wipers at anything over 30.

              Doesn't work so well on my Skoda Superb - need to be doing over 70 to get the water to shift off the screen - must be down to the aerodynamics (or lack of with the Stag!)
