I'm sure I am not the only one with this but I would really like to get the bearing off the face of the pressure plate when in idle to cut out hearing the gearbox idle turning. The bearing is fine but the car is much quieter when depressing the clutch pedal and surely its not good for the bearing to be spinning against the plate when in idle.
On the early TR's there was a spring that pulled the clutch fork back towards the slave cylinder which in turn lift the bearing off the pressure plate fingers.
Has anyone tried anything to pull it back or is there adjustment somehow?
On my TR6 I bought a modified kit with a different slave push rod and return spring and never got round to fitting it and foolishly sold it with other spares
Any suggestions most welcome
Thank you
Andrew
