Owned my Stag for over 20 years now and always been a member of the SOC. I remember being in the dark when I first bought the Stag, sure you could ring the club officers but I remember ringing a guy up re an engine issue I had to be told quite abruptly to buy a new engine and you've got three choices Rimmers, Tony Hart, can't remember the other.
So from its start the forum has been a gold mine of information and help to me, which in turn I try to pass on.
I've said it before but the only reason I stay in the SOC is because of the forum and it's guys like Russ that make the forum work so it's a real shame to loose someone with such knowledge and willingness to help others. All the best Russ (pm sent), I've never met you in person but thanks for the advice you have given me and others via this forum, keep on Stagging
This is such a shame that it has come to this after all this time.
The forum is a member’s benefit and with your help to others that has always been there, it will be the members who suffer and not what is behind you leaving. There is a lot of advice provided by others but it has always been reassuring knowing that it has come from someone who is enthusiastic but qualified to advise, rather than providing an opinion.
All I ask is that you give it some time and reconsider as you can clearly see that others want you to stay and may even chip in as a syndicate to pay your membership fee
The club needs you and others who have left and what you have done for the club is truly appreciated
See you around whatever you decide
Regards
Andrew
Russ - sorry to read you're leaving. If you are still around at the moment thank you for the loan of a starter motor a few years ago, and advice etc prior to that too.
