    Stag wind deflector.

Hi, Does anyone have a perspex Stag rear wind deflector for sale or one that they would be willing to me take the dimensions off to make my own.

    Regards, Mike

    Mike,

It's rather a difficult shape from which to give dimensions - curves and all that. I made a hardboard template before transferring it to the polycarbonate and drawing round it. I think that might be your best bet if you are going to make your own.

However, if you are near Bury, Lancs, you're welcome to borrow my template.

    regards

    Ray

Have a look at DJT's pictures in a recent post about home made deflectors

      http://stagownersclub.mywowbb.com/vi...highlight=wind

Based on these I made a very adequate deflector for a fraction of the commercially available ones. If it's any help I just placed a piece of polycarbonate across the body tub just behind the B posts and literally drew a line from the centre of the caralong the line of the roll bar and the vertical B post. When I came to cut it I mirrored this shape on the other side and thenreduced it by about 5 cms all round. From memory the plastic is exactly48inches wide.

My first attempt had 2 vecro loops that went round the roll bar about 10 inches either side of thecentre line. I found the top corners vibrated too much at motorway speeds so I've 2 outer ones as well
