    H, you can download a copy courtesy of Grampian Stags here http://www.grampianstags.net/StagManual.pdf the relevant pages are 06 - 01 to 06 - 05.

    The manual is one of the better reads when you feel depressed about the Stag, it makes you think everything is quite simple to do, then you do it

      Bet it assumes you have an MOD when describing how to adjust alternator belt!

      How is this download for Copyright? I ask as this has been an issue where an owner has offered a download in contravention of Jaguar cars copyright (Manual for 60's car! hacked from JDHT DVD-ROM)

        Yes, yours absolutely correct, it does not differentiate between manual and automatic which, as we already know is different, it does say that facilitation of a vehicle ramp is beneficial. My reference to the manual was intended to give you the guide to the sizes of threads and therefore the spanner sizes as opposed to how to do it.

        If you are uncomfortable with downloading the manual, I do know it has been in the public domain for a number of years and I am not aware of any prosecutions, download it use it and delete it, I won't tell anyone

          Can't see BMW getting too interested for use by individuals - bit like on Amazon where you can read a few pages for free to tempt you to buy the book. Mind, if people fixing others cars for a fee were using it, they could get a bit disgruntled.

                      Yes, ironic that British industry thrives under Indian ownership. My late brother used to work for British Steel and got discounts on BL cars. Then Tata bought Steel and the discount stopped. Some years later Tata bought Land Rover and he was able to get a discount again!

                        I suspect the Ford and BMW ownership eras for JLR were not happy ones. Tata invested and gave a free hand to local management, something Ford could never do. Billion £ profits have been the result. And the investment continues, huge recruitment of engineers etc. A good thing to see.

                        BMW of course just ripped off BL's FWD and LR's AWD tech.
