Tyre Dust Caps

Does anyone know where you can buy the Stag or Triumph metal tyre dust caps these days? These are the ones that have the Triumph or Triumph Stag resin inserts. The ones that I am looking for are the ones thatwere sold with the locking grub screw so that they cant be pinched!

There used to be a plentiful supply, but they have all disappeared

Hi Andrew, after having some good ones pinched (kids) I used a set of those caps, three weeks later when I needed to get them off, they had "grown" in place, the screws had siezedand I had to cut them off. If they're not chrome on brass, or aluminium don't bother. Martin.

Andrew - have lost 3 sets of assorted caps to light fingered thieves in Tenerife - think it's kids who put them on their bikes. Whilst in the U.K. noticed the other day that Halfords have lockable ones in their stores - in silver & black - not with the Triumph logo though.

Yes, have seen lockable ones and they were easy to get with the Stag logo or the Triumph badges, but they have disappeared. You can get the usual ones but as you say, they are pinched.

Interseting comment made by Martin about them seizing on.

Andrew - leave early hours of tomorow morning from Manchester Airport for Montego Bay where we pick up the cruise ship. Need some warm weather as Maureen & I have had Flu/Colds all the time we've been in the U.K. Return to Chester 18th Jan & stay till 26th when catch a flight back home to Tenerife.
