Help with hood

Hello everyone,went to put hood up today and the front near side corner bracket has broken.Could you tell me if this can be replaced and if it's a straight forward job or a pain.Many thanks in advance Steve

i to repair it,you need to take the hole front end off,dont try to weld it back together, it will brake again,they need to flex,or see if you can buy another while you repair your own,to repair it drill out the rivets on each end,your then be able to remove the hole front,the small broken peace can then be welded back to the front end

Managed to separate header rail from frame and welded small bracket back on.What type of glue would be best to restick hood cover back onto rail.Many thanks Steve. Thanks again Dave for your help.

At a guess a good contact adhesive like some of the better known brands evostick etc,or google trimmers glue maybe to find out .

I was told by the well respected Hood supplier Brian Turner to use 'Alpha Thixofix'. He wouldn't use anything else. - Alan
