Windscreen chrome fitting ?

For some reason the chrome trim around the front windscreen of my Stag is missing. I have new chrome but I can see no way to fit it without removing the glass and rubber from the car. Can anyone offer any ideas or has anyone successfully managed to fit ? thanks
