Very interesting product but will it run in a pressurised system or do we have to modify the system to be non pressurised (it is late in the day and the brian isn't working)?

BTW don't let BIG J see the price of the Ceramic coating as it a lot cheaper than his:shock:

Well spoted Stu ,yeh good price ,The price of the coolant isn't bad if it would work in our system as you never need to change it ,well for 500,000 miles anyway:P

Very interesting, but I am very put off by the hype. They have really let loose the ad men on this one. It's a shame they don't allow their scientists and engineers publish the data to be scrutinised by other scientist. The bullsh*t in the ad copy is unbelievable

But the data table is interesting, with a boiling point of 187 degC unpressurised is interesting, given that they claim that nucleate boiling is a key to the product's performance!!

Is this the answer to the problem that most of us don't have (ie a faulty cooling system)? Maybe worth a try for racing but if my Stag overheated this product would be my last port of call.

One other thing: conventional antifreeze has the essential corrosion prevention additives for our engines, butI didn't notice that mentioned for this product did you?

As I said, a very interesting post though.

Hiya, this stuff looks VERY impressive, and despite the bull**** copy, I don't think it can be a con. I can find no reference to anti-freeze properties but they do mention anti-corrosion. I would very much like to try it out - BUT- at £139.00 plus postagefor the necessary quantity I think I'll have to pass. Also it would make a failed hose an extremely expensive repair, shame. Martin.

Its the same company that supplies alloy radiators for Stags so maybe they know inside imformation, certainly a lot cheaper than the other stuff, there blurb was far to long winded to even bother reading.

I've just spoken to the chap. The 'R' type coolant is good down to minus 10 celcius.

Apparently the bonus behind the high boiling point is that you can run your cooling system with a lower pressure cap, which takes the strain off the hoses, radiatorand jointswhich is a bonus for the 20psi Stag system.

I get the impression that this is an extension of the 'water wetters' which reduce the surface tension of water much in the way this product does.

Like you say though, it will work best in a marginal cooling system.

minus 7 here this morning - you might get the bottom of the rad freezing until it was warmed up

I usually run an electric fan-heater in the Stag for 5 mins before going outside to start up - much more pleasant inside on cold mornings, defrosts the screen and avoids any misting up on the inside of the windows - i must confess to letting it run for 10 mins on the last couple of mornings
