Hi slightly puzzled, put the battery on charge with a 2amp smart charger today. Left the battery on the the car but disconnected the live terminal from the car. Whilst working on it i append to touch the bumper with my nose and got a mild shock. The live from the charger is isolated from the car no part touching. if i disconnect the earth from the battery no shock. Not being that smart electrically i can only think the battery must be iffy. any of you guys come across this in the past!.

No, it's the charger that's iffy. There's often some leakage from mains to the output on these 'smart chargers' which might feel like a shock. My iPhone charger does the same, there's a slight tingle when I pick it up if it's connected to the charger. Nowt to worry about.Richard
