Thinking of getting a car cover for the stag whilst its stored in the garage between sunny days throughout the winter. could be in there a while knowing the good old British weather. Garage is dry and free of damp and well ventilated but have noticed on some cold mornings a slight amount of condensation. any of you folks use covers what type etc without going daft with the expense. Chris.

Metex cover I.jpgMetex cover II.jpgDehumidifier bag.jpg
Hi Chris
In September 2012 I bought a car cover from Metex (17.5 x 11.5 Large Sports) for £37.45 delivered.
It's been very good in keeping the car snug over the last 5 years and is a soft material which has not had any negative effect on the paintwork..
Like you, I have an '80s, dry and ventilated garage and I've occasionally had a look under the cover and always, the bodywork has been as dry as a bone.
The only thing that I notice is the instruments often fog up when I take it for a drive on a cold day and so I have recently bought a couple of dehumidifier bags from Aldi which I am placing on the drivers carpet and on the steering wheel cowl to see if that helps.
I did trim the cover so that it didn't touch the floor and it's not frayed so I'm happy with that.
Metex now seem to have a black material for the cover (current price is £49.50) and offer a printed badge (for another £9.95). I did email Metex some months ago for a small sample as on their photos, it looks better than my grey version, but they never replied.
Overall, very happy with the low cost solution.
Three photos to show the cover and the hem as well as one of the two Aldi dehumidifier bags which you regenerate in the microwave, oven or on a radiator.
Hope this helps.
Best regards

Thank you Chris.
That would be much appreciated.
