MK1 vs MK2 front bumper

Long story so I won't bother you with the details, but does anyone know if these are interchangeable please? I have 2 bumpers and the mounting points are at different angles and offsets from the inside profile when compared to each other, I suspect one of them is a bodge job!

Mark,

Front bumper was common throughout production.
