    Bumper ReChroming

    Decided to get the rear bumper rechromed. It is not too bad but does have some rust coming through. Received a quote to rechrome the rear and two side parts 500 UKP which seams a bit expense to me.

    Am I just out of touch with the costs of such work?
    I see a full set of SS bumbers including fittings is on 880 UK Pounds

    Interesting on your thoughts regarding the price of chroming. Any supplier recommendations would also be appreciated.

    Both the front and rear bumpers on mine needed rechromed but the costs were prohibitive so I put a set of Harrington SS bumpers on mine. Lovely looking bumpers, not the concourse quality you would expect from new quality chromed items, but I wouldn't reverse my decision if I had to do it again.

      That is good to know. It is just a shame when it is only part of the rear bumper. Maybe I look out for a good second hand one.

        Steve, there's a guy on ebay who does a lot fo chroming chromeworld I think he's called. Not sure how good his stuff is personally but I know at least one (now ex) member who has been happy with his work. Might be worth tracking him down for a chat at least?

          I found this post on a search I have had parts from Ray and found his work to be good.

          Hi, I had my original 6 bumpers rechomed by Ray Hodge at Chromeworld. Excellent job, tripple plating too and very reasonable. I'd give him a ring on 07704731814 and discuss the problem your having. He's down in Grays Essex. regards Rich
