4 pot calipers and rear disc's

    Hi All,
Being new to the Stag and the forum, it has become clear that many of you have fitted 4 pot front calipers and discs from other cars.
    Also rear calipers and discs.
As l am thinking of going down this route would, so you be kind enough to share your experiences on what you have fitted and your impressions of the upgrade, good or bad.
    Many thanks
    Phil

    Hi Phil,
I have fitted Holden commodore vented discs and calipers on the front and the monarchs rear disk kit which is adapted from the Ford Sierra. I didn't have to play with the balance between front and rear. I got brake fade during a spirited run down one of the local mountain ranges, I haven't experienced it since! I'm very pleased with the result.
    regards,
    Raoul

Is there a more heavy duty caliper or even a caliper rotor combo that will fit using the standard factory alloy wheels that anyone has tried?
Monarch seem to use the BMW E30 front vented rotors with a Mazda RX7 turbo 4 pot caliper combo (with their own adaptor plate) to fit the front of the Stag but this will not fit the standard 14" factory wheel..

The Holden Commodore kit from Greg Tunstall in Brisbane fits standard wheels so does the rear kit from Monarchs

Have fitted both and far better. The rears are straight forward i used Ford Mondeo calipers with the hand brake, disc i think they were Nissan 200sx. I have a pair of the mounting brackets for the rear conversion that I was going to put on ebay, as i now have Nissan hubs (5 stud) and Skyline drive shafts. There are the best design allowing multiple possible positions for the caliper to suit the installation and water jet cut from Aero grade alloy.

            Hi Phil,

see my post on Wilwoods kit from Robsport - its only for the fronts but very well made and straight out of the box.

Welcome to have a look if you want...
