It says it's a Rover 3.5 V8. Interesting that the vendor says the number plate is worth £1500. That means mine (OFD 47 P) is worth quite a bit as well does it?Originally posted by new to this View PostComment

I think he is trying to big it up a bit about the number plate ... the number plate is only worth as much as somebody wants to pay for it .. and just because it's a "three digit plate" means FA .... Go to the DVLA auction and you can get real cherished numbers for 1200 quid ...
On the other hand I just paid £4800 for my private plate at the auction to go on my Stag .. now I'm thinking what a Muppet haha .. 87 KAD if your wondering ... temporary on my Transit at the moment until the Stag is restored.Comment

Its a good staring place, at least you can see what you are getting yourself into. No hidden supersizes. Or owners that say "looked after regardless of cost", "showing its age" or the classic " no known faults".
Couple of £1000 worth of panels, a bit of that metal to metal melting thing and your away ( plus and all the other niff naff and trivia like engine and brakes)Comment
