I don’t know about old mot certs, maybe getting a heritage cert would unearth some interesting details?

it's in good condition considering it hasn't been on the road in years, still has original engine and doesn't need any welding! nice paint job and it would look amazing again

Do you mean the heritage cert? I think you can order them from several different places, found this one that's probably a good start.
Sounds like you've found a bit of a gem, but don't be afraid to ask advice on here as there are plenty of knowledgeable and helpful people on here. I'm not one of those knowledgeable people....
