    Hardtop chrome strip trim

I've just noticed that the Chrome trim around my rear window on the hard top is coming loose (especially at the top of the window). It is attached by a screw at the bottom corner, and then seems to rely on the chrome strip sitting snugly in the groove in the rubber seal . the chrome strip is in OK condition though is a little out of shape .
Is the best way to try to glue the strip to the rubber seal or possibly use silicone sealant?

any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

Try James Paddock for a set of the fixings

Just got these very parts from Peter at LD parts, cheaper and the usual 1st class service. You will need to get the part numbers from the factory parts list or Rimmers diagrams to order the correct bits though.

There are no clips on the rear window trim, only the two screws the OP mentioned............

I found this on another thread (from New to This) regarding the "beading under the side edges and rear edge"
regarding 623720 & 622663 i think i now know what you mean, penny has dropped when i looked on my brothers car there is a plastic trim,if you go into an electrical shop buy grommet strip it looks the same as the plastic trim on the hardtop
            I hope that helps
            Cheers

Many thanks for your replies and apologies if I wasn't able to make clear in my original post (Milo got what I meant).

The chrome trim(s) I am talking about are the two L-shaped pieces, numbers 908 101 and 908 102 from the Rimmer catalogue.
