    Electric Cooling fans.......recommendations?

Has anybody got recent experience of the currently available electric cooling fans?
There are a few available in the £50 price bracket on ebay etc.
Rimmer and Paddock want £200 or more.
I am tempted to buy a cheap one and a spare maybe.
    Let me know your thoughts.
    Cheers

I have fitted a "cheap" fan and controller as a backup to the original fan as we have toured Europe for the last couple of years and it gives a bit of peace of mind, it also has a manual override utilising the HRW switch.

I had a similar one fitted to my MGB, removed the original engine fan and never had any issues with overheating and it was completely reliable.

I had a 16" kenlow with the curved blades. It shifted a lot of air but it never came on so sold it. Temp gauge showed a slight reduction of coolant temp due to removing the restriction.

A cheap fan is not so cheap if it doesn't work and you face a £5k engine rebuild. Try Pacet or Revotec fans.
