Agree with above. I had a cheaper welder could not get good welds, then went on a short night course for welding, got great at welding at the college and was rubbish at home. Realised that by then (after being trained up) it was my home machine. Spent some money on machine and now fine. (Also get one of those full size cycles to save£££. And get argon mixes in the gas). I think the big issue with my old cheaper welder was a poor jumping wire feed. None of this helps welding upside down though - a nightmare
