Beautiful early mk1 white tv8 mod? MGB GT and now looking for another V8
If your handy give it a big service i mean everything plugs, filters, best engine oil valvoline vr1,but you might need do timing chains unless history available and definitely should do brakes fluid, wheel cylinders everything. Dont mess with points just fit electronic ignition unit luminition off net about £30 fine if it doesnt already have. Flush the rad and change the belts, battery and check alternator. Tony Harts service DVD includes timing chain replacement and is worth getting hold of its really useful. From there run it for a while soon know what needs doing next.
Yes best for sure. Check rear axel fluid and gearbox fluid levels but thinking the car starts?
Might as well change them as well, most of the old diff oil can be drawn out with an Oil Syringe. It's a slow process, but unless you drill and fit a drain plug or take the back cover off its the only way.
Wise men ignore the advice of fools, but fools ignore the advice of wise men sigpic
Nope, too expensive, just any oil 20-50 spin the engine on the starter and build up oil pressure before running, then not until it's had a hour or two road running to clean out any rust or contamination inside the engine, then drop the oil, fit a new filter and put whatever oil is your preference in.
