Hi Paul
When you say creeping forward in Park, do you mean that the park lock hasn't engaged?
3 main reasons for creep in neutral in the most likely order - wrong adjustment of selector linkage, front clutch plate clearance too tight or a distorted plate, and valve block.
What's the history of the gearbox?

Hi Paul
I agree with Russ in thatan incorrectly adjusted selector cable is the most likely

:dude:hi guys, i agreed it must be the linkage not adjusted right, i have changed to a rover 3.5 engine, and it must be sitting back a little so that the linkage is not right, i am going to check it out tomorrow, by jacking the car off its wheels, undoing the linkage and try moving it by hand, i can then check if it stills creeps. i might have to alter the inhibitor to suit, thanks paul
