Mk1 to Mk11 Headlight Switch

Hi Guys

Anyone converted a Mk1 Headlight switch to Mk11. Bought a replacement but it is Mk1 plugs in OK and most things work apart from the Right indicator i can see that there is a different pin configuration and was wondering if it is a simple as moving pin around (The one i can see is a blue)

Will check out the wiring diagram in the ROM but if anyone has done this before can you let me know

Things get stranger - i have checked the plug and it is deffinetly a Mk11 (White) but the pin configuration is different?

Wondering if this is from a Triumph 2000 (or even Dolly etc)?

Mk1 (has black connector See Picture) and mine is a white connector and plugs into the loom so will have to investigate further.

I have used this style of switch from other BL cars. All I did was swap positions of two pins. Eachpin has alocking tab which needs to be pushed in carefully to release it.

Thanks for the advice - will try an follow the wiring diagram in the ROM and start fiddling with the switch loom - will let you know how i get on.

Problem with the old switch was that it just melted when using full beam? would have thought this should only operate a relay at a low current draw? any electrical boffins out there with any advice on how to stop this happening again
