Expansion Bottle

Hi,

I wonder if any of you guys can give me some advice, I haverecently

had recon heads fitted to my Stag. She has been running fine, but I have

noticed that the level in the expansion bottle has gone down to about a third full.

Is it just a question of topping it up to half full or should I just laeve it as it is?

Hi Nick

A third full is ok but what I tend to do is bring the level to the top of the securing clip which acts as a marker and can see before going out whether im losing any coolant.

Never fill more than half as there will be no room for expansion.

Hi Dave,



I got mine from a guy in Dorset, he reconditions them himself and will

give you money back on your old ones if he can use them.

His name is Howard he is vey good and an experienced engineer, has been working

onStags for years. Phone01258 452457.

Is this Howard Vassey as he is suppose to be really excellent engineer and very good with the Stag engine?

I think he was in Triumph Worl last year sometime?

Possibly, I don't know his surname, he knows his stuff, I think he was onced based around the Faversham area.

Glad to be of help Dave, he is not that cheap (£500 PER HEAD) cheaper if you part ex yours,but the guy who fitted them for me said they were the dogs!
