Were you there 2 years ago in the top field and you caught the underside of your car on a boulder or was that someone else? (sorry just had a flashback)

We went on the Sunday last year. Good event and a good excuse to give the stag a run out and then build sandcastles on the beach with our son

          David Thanks for the Link...

I will do my upmost to get Stag77 up to Llandudno, my hometown...

Many memories of drunken cider teenage evenings on the promenade back in the 80's -

Plenty of places to visit for anybody who has never been to the Queen of the Welsh resorts...

The longest pier in Wales, The Extravaganza in the town, two beaches, plenty of pubs, The Great Orme, The Victorian Tramway... I could go on

Plenty of good accomodation but if you really want to break the bank and say to hell with the credit crunch, then stay at....

The Imperial, The Empire, The St Georges or Osbourne House.

Anybody fancy a quick run, Round the Great Orme, towards Conwy Quay and round the walled town then up the Conwy Valley to Tal-y-Cafn back through Glan Conwy and back to Llandudno????

Go on you know you want to.....

See you there / Weloch chi mewn Llandudno!

          Mark / Stag77

            Hi David

Yes I was there 2 years ago in my Triumph 2000 MK1. It wasn't me who caught my car's underside, not sure who it was as I didn't know anything about it. I think this was the year when a pinhole appeared im radiator:shock:It squirted antifreeze over the front bumper!!

              Hi Brian

Do you still own that car?

              Cheers

                Hi Bruce

Yes, I still have the grey Mk1. I'm taking it off the road in the Summer to restore it as it is now getting a little tatty! I don't think I'll be able to work as fast as you have on your Stag though!!

                Regards

                  Hi Brian

                  So you own a Mark1, a Mark 2 and a Stag:shock:That lot must keep you busy:P

Work on my Stag took a break last weekend as I spent my time sorting out various electrical faults and replacing perished rubber seals on the wife's GT6 . Painting of the Stag will hopefully resume this coming weekend.

                  Cheers

My love of Triumph's began with the Mk2 saloon.

Back in 1973 my Dad bought a damson red, 2.5 PI Mk 2 auto saloon - from Heron gargaes, Colwyn Bay.

                    LJC 352K

And the PI saloon stayed with us until the Summer of 1978 when my Dad sold it
for..... A Ford Capri Ghia !

My Dad will no doubt love seeing any Mk2 saloons, his favourite car of all time!

If anyone's interested there is an excellent B&B in LLandudno I can recommend (in LLoyd Street just of the main thoroughfare Mostyn Street). The Festival photos I posted on U-Tube are some 10 years old now. Will someone take a Camcorder & do some new footage & put it on You Tube with a reference to it on this Forum. Can't make it over this year as going to a Wedding in the Midlands in May, but I used to love going round the Extravaganza & Transport Festival when I lived there, and the Grandkids loved it also.
Still have a Grandaughter living in LLandudno Junction who I used to take round the Extravaganza. To those who are going - enjoy it - it's a great day (weekend) out & the weather is usually kind.

                      Regards - Terry

This event seems to get bigger every year. One day is not enought to see everything properly!!
