Key rings

Can anyone please tell me if they are happy withhaving the words Triumph Stag on theirkey ring? Nice key rings, but perfect if you lose your keys or have them pintched.

Does anyone know where I can get a key ring with Triumph Stag on it and with my car's registration just to make any easier?

Andrew, don't worry about having the car pinched, your average car theif would not know what to do with a Choke or to turn the key towards you not away.

Hi, it's a good point, but you can unlock a Stag with a spoon, they're better than MGs, but not much. If you're worried, liftup theknobon the fuel inertia switch, the buggers will NEVER work that out.Martin

I know about the fuel cut off switch but i did not know that if you lift the centre button it would stay up on its own

Any more information would be appriciated

Hiya, the electrical contact in the inertia switch, is made by that plastic knob having a brass ring around it's base, this is squeezed between two brass strips,in an impact, a heavy steel ball sitting on a magnet, jumps up and knocks the knob up, breaking the contact and switching off the pump, if you lift it, they'll get as far as a float chamber full of petrol, then stop. Reading some old SOC mags, I see that they used to printlists of the Stags that had been stolen during the month.

I know security systems are now much improved, but you don't seem to hear of many Stags being stolen now? - thankfully.!

(Probably because the latest batch of ASBO members don't know what they are..?)

I believe that 4 to 5 Stags were stolen last year compared to 1 the previous year.These are not necessarily SOC members andmay have come fromDLVA.

I expect the rise is due to the fact that for God knows what reason some insurers have said you don't need to have an immobiliser, DOH!

What do they expect
